Senior Project manager


Job Details


The role 
Oversee our Construction side of the business including partners and sub-contractors. Monitoring project plans to budgets and timescales and ensuring all H&S and other company and regulatory policies and procedures are adhered to. Managing high clients and internal project managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project management – planning, documentation, sourcing, monitoring etc.
  • Inspect client’s property and assist partners in work measurement and valuation
  • Draft construction plans
  • Ensuring adherence to relevant industry standards, regulations including Health & Safety policies and regulations
  • Liaise with colleagues, customers, sub-contractors and other professionals
  • Provide legal oversight and liaise with professional advisors as required
  • Oversee building work, promoting and protecting my client's brand on construction projects
  • Write technical reports
  • Work with estimators for costs of overheads, materials, labour and equipment for use in Tenders
  • Check the quality of suppliers and negotiate cost-effective prices
  • Plan and control the preparation of construction sites prior to commencement of works and throughout project lifespan
  • Assist in planning methodology for each project stage and monitor progress against agreed completion dates
  • Demonstrate safe working practices at all times, adhering to Company H&S rules and procedures
  • Perform audit and surveillance duties on sites operated by partners and sub-contractors
  • Other duties as required
  • Manage a team of project managers, support with projects, guidance, mentoring
  • Reporting internally and externally
  • Meeting with clients on a regular basis

Skills & Abilities Required for This Position (Essential):

  • Minimum 5 years in a similar role
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills including MS Project
  • Methodical approach
  • Quantity / Building Surveyor qualifications and/or experience
  • The role holder will require to be flexible as the role will involve travel and flexibility in hours worked. Some overnight stays will be required.
  • Full current UK driving licence
  • H&S experience and/or Qualification
  • Knowledge and experience with construction
  • Working with DNO’s, IDNO’s or ICP’s (ideal but not essential)
  • EV and/or electrical knowledge (ideal but not essential)
