Fire Project Surveyor

Fire Safety Surveyor – West London Rate: £35 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: 6 Months
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role: We’re seeking an experienced Fire Safety Surveyor to join our team on a 6-month contract based in West London. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out fire safety inspections, surveys, and risk assessments across a range of residential and commercial properties, ensuring compliance with current fire safety regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed fire safety surveys and inspections in accordance with relevant legislation and best practice.
• Assess the adequacy of fire protection systems and construction details.
• Produce clear, accurate reports and recommendations for remedial works.
• Liaise with contractors, residents, and internal teams to ensure remedial actions are completed effectively.
• Provide technical advice on fire safety design, materials, and building regulations.
• Support the implementation of fire risk management policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Fire Safety Surveyor or Building Surveyor with fire compliance experience.
• Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation, Approved Document B, and Building Safety Act requirements.
• Experience working within local authority, housing association, or similar public sector environments (desirable).
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g. RICS, CABE, IFE, or equivalent).
• Excellent communication, report writing, and stakeholder management skills.
