Tenancy Enforcement Officer 
Location: South East London
Contract: 3 Months (Ongoing)
Rate: £24 per hour (Umbrella)
Working Pattern:
  • Office-based initially (5 days per week for training)
  • Hybrid thereafter (minimum 3 days in the office)
About the Role We are currently recruiting for a Tenancy Enforcement Officer to join a growing housing service in South East London. This role has been created to support an increasing portfolio of new build properties and newly onboarded homes, ensuring tenants are effectively supported from the start of their tenancy.

You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, customer-focused housing management service, helping to sustain tenancies and prevent issues from escalating.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take a proactive approach to managing new tenancies, including early engagement and intervention
  • Support tenant move-ins, carrying out tenancy audits and property visits
  • Manage introductory tenancies and ensure compliance with tenancy agreements
  • Investigate and manage anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases, taking enforcement action where necessary
  • Maintain a visible presence across multiple sites, supporting residents and communities
  • Manage tenancy and neighbourhood issues across a designated patch
  • Work independently, including lone working, home visits, and site visits
Requirements
  • Experience in tenancy enforcement or housing management within a local authority or housing association
  • Strong experience managing ASB cases and working with complex or vulnerable tenants
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, resilient, and able to work under pressure
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload effectively
