Rate: £500 per day (Umbrella)
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Relocation Manager to lead the planning and delivery of corporate relocations, office moves, service decants and workplace reconfigurations across a Council's operational estate.
This is a hands-on role combining workplace planning expertise with practical move delivery, ensuring accommodation changes are well planned, efficiently delivered and cause minimal disruption to operational services.
The successful candidate will act as the lead specialist for workplace planning, occupancy analysis and move coordination, working closely with internal teams, Directorates and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of corporate relocations and office moves.
- Manage service decants, churn activity and workplace reconfigurations.
- Provide specialist workplace planning and accommodation advice.
- Carry out space utilisation and occupancy analysis.
- Develop and produce CAD-based workplace and office layouts.
- Support estate rationalisation and accommodation optimisation programmes.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders, contractors and external suppliers to ensure successful moves.
- Develop practical move plans and coordinate implementation from planning through to completion.
- Ensure relocations are delivered safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to services.
- Identify and resolve operational issues throughout the relocation process.
- Support the Council's Corporate Landlord approach and wider workplace objectives.
- Ensure accommodation changes are effectively planned and delivered across different Directorates and support functions.
You should have:
- Proven experience managing corporate relocations, office moves or service decants.
- Strong workplace planning and space management experience.
- Experience with occupancy planning and space utilisation analysis.
- Practical experience producing CAD layouts for workplace or office environments.
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience coordinating multiple internal teams, contractors and external suppliers.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver moves to tight timescales.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A hands-on approach with the ability to take projects from planning through to successful delivery.
