Tenancy Enforcement Officer – East London
Location: East London
Rate: £33.91 per hour Umbrella
Contract: 12 months, ongoing
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
Working Arrangement: Full-time on-site during probation, with hybrid working available following successful completion of probation

We are seeking an experienced Tenancy Enforcement Officer to join a dedicated team working on a high-profile programme focused on improving the management and use of temporary accommodation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating suspected non-occupation, subletting, housing fraud and other misuse of temporary accommodation. You will carry out inspections, gather and assess evidence, work with partner agencies and pursue cases through to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate suspected tenancy breaches, non-occupation, subletting and housing fraud.
• Conduct property inspections and gather evidence.
• Assess information and determine appropriate enforcement action.
• Manage complex cases through to resolution.
• Work closely with internal teams and external partner agencies.
• Where appropriate, pursue formal enforcement and legal remedies.
• Deal confidently and professionally with challenging situations.

About YouYou will be an experienced housing professional with strong investigative and tenancy enforcement experience. You should have excellent judgement, strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while managing complex cases effectively.
